A little rain, a lot of heart. Thank you to every mom and little one who showed up and made our second walk one to remember.
Our second Mommy & Me Nature Walk at the Pointe-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust brought 55 moms and little ones together on a morning that had a little more weather than we planned for. The rain showed up, but so did everyone else, and that said everything.
Umbrellas went up, moms moved closer together, and people shared shelter without a second thought. There was something really beautiful about watching strangers look out for each other and their kids without anyone having to ask. The rain honestly just added to it.
Our guides for the day, Wesley and Jelani, were terrific. They took their time, they were engaging, and the kids were completely locked in. Wesley even stopped along the trail to pick flowers and plants for the little ones, and watching the children hold them and ask questions was one of those moments you don't forget.
Walk two is done, and we are already looking forward to the next one.

Seeing the Scarlet Ibis, l was so happy to see see how bright and beautiful they are. And to learn about the history of how the Wildfowl trust was founded.
Utilizing the seating areas near the carpark, i believe that area can be used for a picnic, or just relaxation after the walk. Families would love that.
Were you there on May 16? We’d love to hear from you. Your words help other moms know what to expect at our next walk.
